Miracosta is a community college located in two scenic campuses at Oceanside and San Elijo. The college offers associate degrees (2 years), which allows a student to either continue into a bachelor's program or begin work. It also offers a variety of certificate programs (1-2 years) for those interested in short-term training related to a particular field.

True to its name Miracosta (Spanish for 'behold the ocean'), the hilltop campus offers breathtakingly beautiful views of the ocean and the hillside. Apart from the park-like campuses, the college offers excellent facilities such as a wellness centre, more than 1000 networked computers, free tutoring, service learning projects, honours scholars program, library and information hub, student clubs etc. The school's notable alumni include actor Adam Brody and former San Diego Padres general manager, Kevin Towers.
