The athletic teams are nicknamed the Yellowjacket and compete in the NCAA's Great Northwest Athletic Conference and in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Montana State University Billings has an active athletic department, including a newly reformed baseball program. Other sports include: Men's and Women's basketball (both making appearances in conference finals over the years), cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, cheerleading, softball, volleyball, tennis, indoor track, and outdoor track.

Students can be "Conditionally Admitted" without TOEFL/IELTS scores by enrolling in our excellent Intensive English Language Program (IELP).

Admitted students may begin courses at several different times throughout the calendar year. Costs to Attend MSU Billings are very reasonable compared with other US Universities, and all international students, once admitted, qualify for a number of University scholarships and may also be eligible for paid campus work-study opportunities.
